This could work in Bristol too..... "Bus routes in Dunkirk have been extended, with special lanes and city centre priority introduced. The fleet has been expanded from 100 to 140 buses, including new greener vehicles which run on natural gas. Before, when they paid, it was a service and they were customers. They may have been only contributing 10% of the cost of running the service but they thought it was theirs. Now it’s a public service they look at it differently. A study points out that burning wood, coal or other solid fuels in the home is the largest single contributor to production of the most dangerous pollutant, known as particulate matter: tiny particles that penetrate deep into the body. With the rise in the purchase of wood-burning stoves for aesthetic values, wood burning is likely to increase. The headline "People burning wet wood on inefficient stoves poisoning themselves" misses the point, even people burning dry hardwood on efficient stoves are poisoning themselves, their neighbours, their community. Gas boilers are more appropriate for urban areas, or if you want to minimise air pollution further then heat pumps run on green electricity
