The decisions made relating to this plan are really important for the future of Bristol. They will lead to the provison of a sub regional plan to 2036. The Bristol Civic Society is therefore arranging a special meeting on TUESDAY 12th January 2016.
The meeting will start at 5.30 pm at The Unitarian Chapel, Brunswick Square.
This will be a joint meeting with the Neighbourhood Planning Network, which has a network of over 40 groups involved in planning across the City.
There are a great number of other consultation meetings being arranged across the sub region. This meeting will differ because it will focus on the implications for Bristol itself. What do we think of significant additional housing on brownfield sites? What transport will be needed? How will services be delivered? Do come along and join in the debate.
The meeting will be given an overview by Zoe Willcox (Service Director:Planning) from Bristol City Council.
It will start with a presentation by Jane Harding explaining why student housing is so popular with city centre developers at the moment.
