The Bishopston Society’s arrangements for our next exciting public meeting, to be coupled with our 2017 Annual General Meeting, have now been finalised. Please make a diary note now: the meeting will take place on Tuesday 3rd October 2017 from 7 pm at the Friends Meeting House, 300, Gloucester Road.
The focus of the meeting (other than the traditional AGM formalities, which will only be brief) will be on the Clean Air Campaign which is now becoming a major issue with which TBS is involved.
We’re expecting some high-powered contributions from a talented panel of guest speakers that will include Dr Caroline Bartle from the Centre for Transport and Society at UWE and Fi Hance, local Green Party councillor and Bristol Cabinet member for City Health and Wellbeing.
We’re hoping to give members and public visitors the opportunity to again participate together in small groups before offering feedback to the full meeting, along the lines of recent successful meetings. And there’ll be the now-legendary interval where free organic fruit juice is served and there is the opportunity for networking with others, and of course towards the end of the evening, our usual Open Forum.
Any further updates, including additions to the guest line-up, will be posted as revisions to this article.
