Plans now revealed for Clean Air Day Bishopston on Thursday 21st June feature public support pledges and a "community call-out", 6-7pm, at Boston Tea Party, Gloucester Road, followed by a clean air walk.
Locals are now being invited to pledge their support by making a short, simple, commitment to something they can do in person, no matter how minor, towards cleaner air on the longest day of the year.

Another web-based innovation by The Bishopston Society has just gone live as we launch the Bishopston Planning Portal following months of earnest software development and careful planning work.
Coinciding with a wider revamp of the Planning section of this web site, the Portal provides a view of selected planning applications in Bishopston via a friendly interactive map and easy-to-use and informative local database.

We are delighted to announce the launch of Clean Air Bishopston, a project developed by The Bishopston Society and a range of partners to address the massive problem of air pollution and work towards cleaner air in our part of the city.
Air pollution has been described by some as representing a "public health emergency", and reports suggest that 300 deaths per year may be occuring in Bristol due to illegal pollution levels.

Organised walks in Bishopston will feature as part of Bristol Walkfest, which runs for the whole of May 2018.
Two local walks have been organised, and will be led by, Bishopston Society's very own Kevin Molloy. Both are in the 'easy' category and accessible for buggies and wheelchairs.
