SORRY! PLANNING PORTAL OUT OF ACTION: We are sorry to have to announce that The Bishopston Planning Portal is currently out of action. For technical reasons beyond our control, much of the information gathered via the portal is not currently being updated automatically, and therefore the portal does not currently provide a reliable indication of the details or status of planning applications. You may still view it, but beware of misleading results please. We are working to develop a fix for this problem. Bristol City Council's online planning database at remains the definitive source of information.

1 - 5 ASHLEY ROAD 14/06316/F

This is an uninspiring scheme which sits very tightly on its site. The parking area in particular is extremely tight with little manoeuvring space.

The 4 town-houses are extremely narrow so that although they are 3 storeys high they only have 4 bed-spaces. The kitchen is small and remote from the Family/Dining room which will not work well in a family setting. Furthermore, the Living room faces north onto Ashley Down Road and has a small window more suitable for a bedroom. We do not consider that the design makes the best use of the space available.

The block of flats at the rear of the site is basic and featureless and has little to recommend it.
